  • Not my understanding I'm afraid. I believe that if all paperwork is correct and valid and the appointed time has arrived, they CAN break and enter if can't get in any other way. So if for example you hide and pretend not to be in, they can force entry anyway. Doesn't mean its right of course but when you live in a bully boy regime you must expect bully boy tactics. Until we the ordinary people decide to fight back and reclaim some basic rights it won't change - what does a bully do? They come forward until someone stands firm and goes nose to nose with them then they often think again. Don't believe in violence myself but can see why others get driven to it. Good luck. x:o
  • Thanks all, quick update.

Oh Great! Things can only get better, not for us. We spent the whole weekend stressing for the big day, Tuesday 9.30, to sign the contract to sell the house, can anything go wrong, yes and it did.

    1. the cheque received by our solicitors is for too much, about 4000 pounds too much, so has to be returned.

    2. the h***f*x still wont give us or the solicitor a settlement fee, even when they know we are signing contracts. so our solicitor cant proceed with completion and disbursements etc.

so spent the day in hell, waiting today for any news is going to be a real long drag of a day. off for another coffee and shake off vodka effects.

    cheers all so far

will let you know how things go, and if anyone has been here before tell me what to do other than kicking the director of the hal*f*x up and down the street a few times.
