This weekend I saw an advert by Telegraph Travel for a concert in December by Andre Rieu.
The 'Offer' was for concert tickets and overnight accommodation in Glasgow. It included coach transport to and from the hotel to the SECC.
I booked but got the dates wrong and realised immediately we could not make it.
The total cost for two tickets was £428 and the deposit was £200.
I tried to cancel first thing Monday morning but was told it would cost the total amount of the deposit!
I find this totally unbelievable.
Telegraph Travel should be brought to task for having such unreasonable terms.
Having contacted The Telegraph I was told in no uncertain terms either loose your £200 or try to re sell the tickets privately!

Regulation 28 of The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which lists those transactions that can't be cancelled, includes:
You are entirely reliant on the seller's cancellation policy.(h) the supply of accommodation, transport of goods, vehicle rental services, catering or services related to leisure activities, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.0
