Recipe for coleslaw
Comments
-
I love my nan's coleslaw which is shredded white cabbage, grated carrot and white onion finely sliced mixed with mayonnaise, sour cream and English mustard. Although I like to mix it up every now and them by using French dressing with mayo or by adding lime juice, finely sliced chilli and coriander to yoghurt.
Slaw is a great use up side dish as you can shove anything you like into it.0 -
I've used red onion, and grated carrot and courgette and it was delicious. I added homemade mayonaisse and piri piri to spice it up :)x
this thread has loads of recipes

White cabbage, thinly sliced white onion, some grated carrot, mayo and some salad cream ..........
I add a squirt of salad cream too if I don't have a blob of mustard .. in fact I use a squirt of salad cream most of the time now ... always tastes much nicer than store bought coleslaw but at a fraction of the cost! (especially if I buy my grated carrot, sliced onions and shredded cabbage at the reduced price from mr asda ..)wading through the treacle of life!
