What glue to stick foam pad to garage wall?

Hi I'm looking to stick a foam pad 12'x12x1' to a garage wall to prevent my car door hitting it when getting in and out the car. Could anyone recommend some glue to use ? I looked at no more nails but it didn't seem to have great reviews

Pretty much any grab adhesive should hold up a piece of foam though I'm not sure a 1" thick piece of foam would necessarily prevent you from damaging your car door if you opened it into the wall. Some rubber backed carpet tiles might give better protection.

On the carpet theme, if you have any offcuts or can get hold of one, roll it into a tube and screw it to the wall. The tubular shape provides a deformable bumper and the carpet surface doesn't scratch the door. If you need a bit of margin for error, make a few so that wherever you park you're aligned to one, or just have one long one horizontally mounted.

Spray adhesive, the stuff they use on carpet tiles. I use it for my sound proofing and acoustic tiles in my computer room/office, needs reapplying every few years, but that's actually a good thing, means it doesn't damage my walls.

stops scratching it when you open the door fully against it,

Put the foam on a sheet of thin wood, and use a couple of wooden sticks, so that the glue is just holding it against the wall ; not taking the weight. Or hang it on strings from the ceiling.
My Dad used to hang a cork from the ceiling, to touch the windscreen when he was far enough in.

You could use mastic/silicon sealant, that is sticky and holds most stuff!
