Debt Recovery Plus - returned not to sender F.A.O. Coupon Mad

First of all, thanks to Coupon Mad who has already helped with this in the newbie thread.

As instructed, I am starting my own new thread. I hope this is permitted, as I have a couple of 'niche' questions.

The situation:

- In 2013 I received a number of letters from DRP, all of which were ignored.

- I moved out of the family home in 2014. I updated my address with the DVLA a few days ago (prompted by this most recent exchange with DRP)

- I sold the car that DRP is writing about a few years ago, so I can't update the V5 log book.

- DRP sent a 'final reminder' letter to my old address a few days ago.

- Contrary to Coupon Mad's advice, Mum has returned the letter to DRP saying "not at this address" (sorry, I couldn't stop my Mum doing it in time)

In view of the fact that we have returned the letter to sender, should I write to DRP to provide them with my new address and to strongly dispute the charge?

If I write to strongly dispute the charge, should I demand evidence from them that I committed the parking charge, and should I also ask for evidence of signs that were in the car park in 2013? It seems to me that, without those, they would have no case.

Sorry if this post is a bit messy - I have put it together quickly as I am in a bit of a hurry today with work matters.

Shame your mum wasted her time sending it back.
DRP are a meaningless company who adore sending out scammy letters all of which MUST BE IGNORED.

Now you have updated with the DVLA, advise the parking company and not DRP

You will only advise the parking company that you are the registered keeper.

Send either by email with a copy to yourself or by post getting a receipt of posting

The parking company is responsible to advise any of the vermin
they passed your details to, the new address

Tell your mum to bin the DRP letters

Yes, like in the example I showed you, using the email for DRPlus on loads of threads. Not a letter.

Or just ask Mum to stop interfering(!) and to just hand you every letter in future, so you can defend any court claim. Certainly tell her not to *help* by paying it off...as some parents or various numpty family members have done before.
