Bought some furniture to fit out a walk-in wardrobe. Very impressed. All the bits there and not too hard to put together. A bit of a re-design needed in the middle (my fault) and an excellent returns policy for unused bits. The finished product looks great.

We have loads of stuff from there, in fact I think the whole house is furnished from there apart from the sofa.
Never had any missing parts and apart from a kitchen table top everything has been very durable.0 -
A fan of IKEA and given the amount of cash that goes into the tills,I'm amazed that U.K. stores are so backward in learning about customer services etc. from them. As a one time politician used to keep saying"Lessons will be learnt" but obviously not by the majority of multiples.0

Ikea are fine until something goes wrong. After that think Ryanair i.e. Cheap and cheerful -and chaotic customer service by phone in my experience0

Absolutely love Ikea and never had a problem with their customer service. We have had 2 products (out of many) have missing parts but it has been really easy to order replacements which have been posted to us really quickly.
I would also recommend getting an Ikea family card. It gives you money odd certain products, free cuppa in their cafe and insurance to cover damage on your journey home.0 -
Oooh I think I see an Ikea trip in my future.
Not been in ages.

Ref missing bits.Never happened to me but I can understand how annoying it must be,however, if at all possible re-visit the store instead of trying to explain over the phone. The store I use at Southampton has a section filled with all types of fittings required, you help yourself. If something required isn't there, just ask the staff on the returns counter, always found the staff to be more than helpful and that odd thing in U.K.cheerful.
Had lots of very good bargains from their clearout corner, from large wardrobes/fridge-freezers to spare shelves and worktops.Their delivery charges are reasonable and having once had a mirror door damaged on route,it was replaced 2 days later.0 -
Love Ikea. I go in for a table mat and come out with half a house of furniture.0

I bought my daughter a day bed with pull-out last week, not a single screw, nut or bolt in the boxes!
I went back to get them, there should have been 3 separate bags, they got 2 from another package and had to make the third bag up. We were still one fixing short, but couldn't be bothered going back again. Hope it wasn't important

If you ring customer services they will post anything missing to you.
They had a sink bolt sent to us from Germany.
It arrived within 2 days.0
