New tap or just the cartridge needed?

I have an issue with my single lever bath mixer tap.
There is water pouring out from under the lever but when I apply pressure to the top of the lever the water stops.
Does this sound like the internal cartridge has gone or am I realistically looking at replacing the whole tap?
Thanks as usual

Youtube is useful for this type of question.
I have changed a cartridge in the past and it was quite straightforward.0 -
Replace the tap it's not just a cartridge in a single leverI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
