Urgent advice - now sorted thanks
We have to finalise where to donate inheritance donations. We have just met A
young woman local to us had bad accident brain damaged etc. She was written off a year ago but can now walk and talk - amazing progress. However she cannot get in the bath and hasn't got a shower so not good for a 21 year old. She is on a local council list - which we all know is stretched. It has just dawned on me that maybe we could donate some money to help her via a fundraising page - which she hasn't got!
Question 1
Are these fundraising pages eligible for inheritance tax donations. Basically we need a Charity Registration number where we can specifically state this is the person we want the money to help
Question 2
How quickly can one be set up?
Question 3
Which is the best one to go for?
Please don't say ask whoever - time is not on our side.
I will only be responding to messages via this page

So if you identified a charity which gave grants in order to increase independence, you could give money to them and make this young woman aware of their existence and encourage her to apply. But it would be vanishingly unlikely that you could give money to that charity and require them to fund her bathroom conversion.Question 3

Thanks for your reply.
It's money from an estate, a 10% of which is going to registered charities - so looks like it can't be done so will have to give the idea up.
Our aim has been to help smaller registered charities and that is what we will be doing. We already have list but would, if it had been possible, liked to have helped the young lady.0
