firefox: when you hover your mouse over a post...

when browsing posts in this forum (or any forum) when i used to use IE and hover the cursor over a post you get the exact post details. when using firefox (which i now do prefer) when i hover the cursor i get a far more abbreviated post detail. is there a setting in FF which gives me just as much detail that IE does? thanks - hope this makes sense :)
BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

When you hover over a post, your seeing what's called a "tooltip".
Firefox shows them the way they were designed to be used - a very small bit of text to help you when you hover over something.
vBulletin forums take advantage of the fact that Internet Explorer can show great big bits of text, but because this was just an extra thing that IE (and some other browsers) allowed you to do rather than a standard, I don't know if Firefox will ever change the way it works.

Knowing that they've called Tooltips, you may now be able to find an extension that does what you want (I remember one from a while back but it was pretty buggy).

EDIT: Here's an extensions but I haven't tried it. From what it says there it looks like they're fixing this in the next Firefox version

Get the cooliris addon for FF http://www.cooliris.com/Site/download-firefox.html and you'll be able to read the whole post by hovering over the blue square that will appear at the end of the post title.

Another vote for long titles, but it looks as though it won't be necessary in upcoming versions of Firefox.

    I couldn't use a forum without it!
