Household income on application ?

Options
Hi,

I've never had any form of credit before and am hoping to start building my credit history. One of the best ways seems to be with a credit card, after looking around and using the sites eligibility calculator I've decided to apply for a Vanquis chrome card (good for bad credit or people with little to no history). My issue is that it asks for household income, it states "(Before tax and including benefits for ALL members of your household)".

Is this standard for most applications ? I could probably guess roughly the household income if needed or does it need to be more exact ? I just don't want to be refused for a card i'm only getting to build credit. Also up until a month ago I was a full time carer for my mother receiving carers allowance. I'm now back in full time employment and am unsure if I should wait longer for them to be able to see this or if it will have no affect on the application ?

Thanks.
