Finding a wallpaper to match existing

Hopefully someone here can help, there are a few holes in our ceiling due to a rewire and I'm looking to match in the existing wallpaper. Only problem is that the paper was put up by the previous owners (now passed away) and I am struggling to find the same pattern.

It's a blown vinyl and I've been to a few decorating centres but it doesn't appear in any of the current catalogues. Does anyone know of a website that perhaps carries discontinued wallpaper?

I've attached a few pics on the off chance that someone recognises the pattern or could point me in the right direction.

How very 1980s.

Can't you just strip the rest of the paper off and paint the ceiling instead? It's not exactly an original William Morris paper

Our current house - 1850s with an Arts & Crafts extension - was full of that and woodchip (the devil's decorating material of choice :eek:) when we bought it - between ceiling joists, inside cupboards, on the undersides of shelves in those cupboards.....you name it, our PO applied horrid textured paper to it......grrrrrr!

Fast forward two and a half years and we're still battling to remove it all and replace with classic smooth painted surfaces or period-appropriate wallpaper.

As Doozer says, it's not exactly worth saving, let alone adding to

If you must though, I've (surprisingly) seen similar in B&Q recently as well as in the discounted section of some independent decorating shops. Might be worth a try.....

I'd love to strip it down and get rid of it, but I've no idea what the state of the ceiling under it will be and budget/time constraints don't allow for replastering. Don't have the time or inclination to repaper the whole ceiling either as it's a huge area.

I've been round all the shops in my area and no luck so far.

I had similar paper on the ceiling years ago and after removing centre light fitting had the same problem.
I have a settee pushed up against the wall (same wallpaper) and as there was nowhere else where the settee would go I decided to remove some paper from behind it.
It was pretty easy as it had been painted over so many times it was like card. I drew round a saucer on the wall roughly same size and restuck on ceiling.
A quick paint over and on bald bit on wall and you couldn't even see where it was patched up.

I had the same problem after a small leak brought some of our papered ceiling down.

Previous owner had it done and it looks ok.

I took a photo of the ceiling then googled "blown vinyl" on google images. I then scrolled through until I found the pattern and that link took me to the website.

In the end we found an almost perfect match on Wallpaperdirect.com which auntymabel just posted above!
