Can I use an ordinary G9 Halogen bulb in an oven?

Options
Hi, I have a 6 month old AEG KM8403101M Combination Oven/Microwave.

The original factory fitted bulb has blown and needs replacing.

I removed the bulb and it is an Osram Halopin 230v 25 watt bulb. It is the same size and shape as a G9 bulb with the same connector pins.

These Osram Halopins cost about £3 or more.

Is there something special about this Osram bulb or is it the same as other brands and not specific to oven use?

The oven manual makes no mention of a specific bulb and I cannot find anything online to assist.

I can buy a multi pack of 25w G9 bulbs a lot cheaper than £3 for one bulb.

Will an ordinary inexpensive G9 withstand oven use or will it quickly fail due to the high temperatures in the oven?

Presumably a G9 halogen bulb heats up to a high temperature when switched on when in a room light fitting although of course it then has the cooling effect of air at around 20c rather than the 180 to 200 degrees inside an oven.

Thanks
