They don't even work for nPower they work for scamming marketing companies (pyramid companies) like Cobra marketing. The sales guys are on commission only and don't even recieve a decent rate or any guarrentees on sales....they earn hardly anything while the top guys who get set up in this pyramid business structure cream a load of money off....
I had one last month and I told him straight its pointless talking to me as I don't impulse buy and never buy from people on the phone or my door. In my opinion you should always look into things yourself before you buy...a good deal will be around and not be a "you must buy now or not get the deal" which is typical hardcore sales. Only yourself to blame I am afraid.0 -
Very true R1gM, that "higher pressure" sales technique is very common and helps them push customers unlike yourself into a deal.
Despite them in your case not working directly for a Supplier, the Supplier still has a contract with them regardless of the conduct of the employees. So, they still have the right to withdraw.
I do the same as you. never trust them. The ones constantly hassling you via the phone are no better! I'm more sick of them as they tend to call every few days.
Even web job sites seem to advertise for such unscrupulous agencies.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
I agree but sadly not everyone does or perhaps they are too trusted.
Remember many elderly people (not all) trust companies like British Gas because years ago they were the only one who supplied Gas locally, unfortunate companies like BG rely on peoples ignorance and prey on your trust however misguided it is.In my opinion you should always look into things yourself before you buy...a good deal will be around and not be a "you must buy now or not get the deal" which is typical hardcore sales. Only yourself to blame I am afraid.0
