how many viewings did you get after the first newspaper advert

mine is in on Thursday, just wondering whether i will see an increase. mine has been on market about 10 days, had several viewings with strange excuses, best of which "the flat is too far from my family" who live 1 mile away,

did they expect the flat to move to their area.

Hi I was bored so I thought I would force you to stay in all evening so I could wander around your home for no reason.
Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.

We had 4 viewings before the advert, and 3 days before officially going on the market (our EA was keen), one of which offered full asking price.

    Boast over.

Do many viewings come about as a result of newspaper adverts? We used Rightmove to look, and our viewers came from EA phoning around potential buyers.
    Been away for a while.

I've recently spent a prolonged period househunting & can honestly say that all info provided to me by ea's in the area was as soon as they received the instruction & before any blurb was printed up in most cases.

Most of the houses that I viewed that subsequently appeared in the local paper shortly after coming onto the market, were in fact already under offer before the paper went to print.

I grant you that this is still a very bouyant market here though, & appreciate that some areas are seeing a bit of a slowdown in sales.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

What they mean is, either "we are just looking, and not really serious about moving"

or "we don't like your flat, but didn't want to seem rude, but are too stupid to come up with a better excuse"

Arrange to be out for viewings, and let the EAs deal with it, so that you don't have to put up with this rubbish.

I always felt that more viewings would come after a newspaper week.

This house, we had three ads running in three papers - considerable size. According to my agent's figures, they had 2 enquiries from one advert, none from the others. All our viewings have come from the internet or the EAs list of buyers!
