If I use my Amex (UK) or Halifax or Barclaycard in Jersey, will it counted as overseas transaction and charged 2.75% commission?

Thanks

Sun
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

I think the rule is that if it is in UK£ no charge.

I have used my Visa in Gibralta where they use UK£ and no charge was levied.

I can confirm that Jersey transactions are not charged as a foreign one.

Sorry, the title of this thread made me smile - it reminded me of the Jade Goody gaffes in Big Brother 2 - "East Angular? Is that, like, in Tunisia?" Made me smile at this early hour of the day :D

Just an extra to the original post.

Your money may be OK - but your phone company will class all use a 'foreign'
    - and charge you to receive calls as well as high rates to make calls.

I know the rules the 'poor old mobile companies' have to abide by have forced price reductions - but it's still a pain.

Not overseas for the credit card but Jersey is overseas where UK customs are concerned so if you are using your credit card to bring stuff back to the UK mainland, keep an eye on your duty free limits.
