Im looking to buy a TV.

Last week I bought a philips 42 inch (PHILIPS 42PFP5532 42" HD Ready digital Plasma) for £590 which is being delivered tomorrow but I just went JL who will price match a Panasonic TH42PX70 (http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=PANA-TH42PX70PED)

Is the Panasonic worth paying an extra £150? Does anyone have any of them?

Go ask here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=82 or better still, click on the 'search this forum' link on the top right of the plasma forum page, and input the model numbers. Check on the previous discussions about these two tv's and you can make up your own mind.

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.

I have the Panasonic TH50PX70 and I love it. My parents liked it so much that they bought the TH42PX70. :)

I have the Philips, I only use SD material, the picture, sound and build quality are superb, having read all of the nightmare comments from Panny owners on AVForums, I opted for the superb Philips.

Wait until the Philips arrives, set it up and see if you agree with me.;)

Having just bought the well advertised Panasonic Viera 23", it is as though I'd died and gone to heaven !. Yes I paid £500 and yes, I could have bought similar models for far less, but I remain unconvinced that the quality of the picture would be anywhere near as good.

I have had the Panasonic TH-42PX60 VIERA for 6 months now, Best telly I've ever had. I've always been a SONY fan and spent ages deciding which to get. Well happy with Panasonic and everyone that sees it is impressed,
