Hello
On 16th August I logged onto my acct at Play.com to buy a game for my grandson. I saw the game was being sold on their Playtrade site slightly cheaper by independant sellers. (a bit like Amazon). I payed by debit card online and shortly after received an email that the game had been despatched. I made a fatal error when I ordered, I never checked the feedback for the seller. Out of 64 sales only the first one was ever completed correctly! I never received the game and when I tried to contact the seller there was (obviously) no reply. I emailed Play.com through their complaints procedure and told them in no uncertain terms how I felt but I have had no reply from them either!
I know for a fact if this had been ebay that account would have been closed straight away. I checked the seller's feedback today and there are at least another dozen people who have been conned. If all these people are paying £20-£30 a time this scammer is making a very nice living. Play.com appear to be letting scammers get away with anything on their site and yet there seems to be no form of redress. I would like to get my money back and maybe get this person off that site but where do I go now?
Can anyone help please?
Many Thanks.

If you paid by credit card try for a chargeback.
I know the CCA only covers items of £100 or more but there is no harm in trying.0 -
