Probate and IHT - Written or Online?

Hi All -


Have requested an IHT ref number.
Have started filling out PA1 and IHT400 on paper
Have downloaded some of the IHT schedules, and realised that you can submit online / some boxes do the calcs (although some boxes don't let you type figures in, despite the guidance instructed you).


What is best?

If the figures are accurate then it shouldn't matter. If the estate is complex and the online form doesn't suit what you want to enter, then use the paper one.

I would imagine you simply enter the discounted value in the relevant box. I haven't filled out the form myself so check with a professional if you're not sure.
