bossymoo, I think you're right to look at it realistically and get someone else to do the painting. I don't mind doing walls, don't like doing ceilings because I don't like heights but I can do them. But hallway ceilings are so high, and 13 doors! I would (cough cough, have) bought the paint with the best intentions and then it just sits there because I know how much work it will be for me to get the job done.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok this morning. What a lovely day.

I'm quite pleased with the flying I eventually achieved before the paid stuff this week. Every room has had some attention and all the windows are clean.

This morning I have taken Poppet to the vet to have her stitches removed. Unfortunately she has some swelling so lead walks only for the next couple of weeks.

Today, I am going to put a hat on and just potter in the garden.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hiya,

Washing fluttering in the sunshine, been flying at footie hq, toilets were disgusting so three of us mums donned our rubber gloves and wielded mops etc. Showered DS and liberally applied sunscreen - just packed him off to his buddies for a party and will go collect DD from rehearsal in half an hour. She will be broken, lol. And she's got a party later too

Going to blow our paddling pool up later, too...

i think i might have need of the dog warden.. this BD is trying to take over, it looks like Cliffords big non-red twin at the moment!

Girls at opticians in half an hour.. just getting car seats in.. then we are going to Mothercare so the girls can choose some summer items for themselves and i want their shoes checking. Then, because I love him, I will let OH go in Home 'not really Bargains' (its not a bargain if you never really needed it in the first place!)

3 loads of washing out on the line.
    DW x2

OH minced grass and I weeded.. pruning later.. in next doors garden.. I am shameless!

Phew but it's hot out there!
Went for a run early this morning and it was still too warm, so we walked up all the hills. And down some as well. ;)
DD has been deposited at the stables where she will be melting in riding gear, I have just made bread (to take to a do tonight) and a cake ( to take to FiL as pud for tomorrow's lunch). I might change my name to Nigella  but it was no fun having the oven on. DH is playing in the garden....he seems to be building some kind of structure but I daren't ask what....
As you can see, minimal flying!

Evening all. Spent 5 hours in the garden, still loads to do. Spinach harvested and frozen. No flying indoors.

    See you all tomorrow.

    Morning All :)

Went out on Friday night, had one too many glasses of wine :o then yesterday we were at a family wedding and I seemed to have yet more wine :o:o

I thought it would be fine, as kiddies didn't go to bed until 10 last night, but good old DS still got up at 5.45.... Anyway, I've had three cups of builders tea so feeling a bit more chipper. DH snoring his head off.

DW has been loaded and put on, WM is going and I have just cleaned all the kitchen sides down. Kiddies already playing outside on the decking.

DH leaving for work at 3pm (away all week, again...) so we will potter, get the paddling pool out and I might try and sneak a nap in before he goes.

It's very quiet on here, I hope everyone is making the most of the sun and keeping well xx

Been to SW, have decluttered 3lbs

I know this was days ago, but congrats and well done just the same.
I went out to a new voluntary group last night. Get me. This is all about me meeting more people/doing new things/increasing my confidence. DH worries that I dont have time for this but its not a huge time commitment and I am doing it on a trial basis.

Does he worry about you not having time to do the washing up, to such an extent that he always does it? I hope you enjoy the group and it gives you what you're looking for.

Sorry to hear things are worrying FBO and ATB. I used to do some credit control for a small business and it always amazed me that individual people could be so mean. I'm afraid I used to badger the non-payers until they'd just send the money to stop the phone calls and if not I'd whack them through the small claims court. I hope it resolves really soon.

Hi Skint! Great that the house is SSTC. Do you know where you're going?

Can you ask your OH to take you out for lunch, Ionafan after Mr I's friend has gone? You've been so hard at it for so long now you could do with a treat.

My good intentions to keep up all week fell by the wayside but I have cleared some of the jobs that have been worrying me and I gave the bathroom a thorough going over as per list on Monday.

In the wonderful weather I have emptied the stinking waterbutt on the plants and a tree that needed the water. It's been empty for a few days having been scrubbed out but it's still a bit whiffy. Any suggestions?

I bought a new hose for the communal gardens after someone chopped the neighbour's in half when they borrowed it (why did they think she wouldn't notice?), connected its various fittings and used it today to clean out the rabbit hatch where the three seagull chicks live at night. It was a bit stinky. Then scrubbed the front steps of a few houses where the babies have left deposits and the paths as far as the hose would stretch. Things look and smell better. The babies are really interesting, and who knew a seagull would foster babies that weren't her own if they squawked loudly enough. She's very atttentive, very protective and all three babies are doing well. I like seagulls even if they can be aggresive when protecting their young.

Various bits of dog bedding are getting whizzed through the WM as and when it's available. Lines constantly full. Chalet stuff turned around and back in the car ready to go over for an arrival on Friday.

Two house arrivals tomorrow so I've got one room to finish and the shower room needs a drubbing. OH wielded the dsyon because I made him a recovery breakfast in bed, so I heart him.

Just struggling to keep up with life really.
    Better is good enough.
