Nope, but you need to deal with the DQ. One step at a time. The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2 deals with the process. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks, just another question, do I also need to send a copy of the DQ to CEL? And would it be better to post or email?0

The form is very explicit on who you must send it to.
ALL parties means all parties - court AND claimant. Essentially all communication from now on is to both, as a basic assumption.
Post is entirely fine, if CELs solicitors (if theyre using them) OR CEL have indicated email is OK for service of court documents, email is fine.0 -
Sorry for my ignorance im just a little confused, do I send it to CEL or there solicitors, not sure who there solicitors are?0
 -
There is an address for service at the bottom of the claim form under the particulars. If cel have a lawyer that'll be the address. If not, it'll be the cel address. Either way, send to the court also.0

As others have said, follow the instructions and time requirements to the letter.
I have managed to see off two CEL court claims so far, one that Tesco were foolish enough to pay, and one that actually ended up at the steps of the court but CEL had discontinued. They just 'forgot' to tell the defendant.
CEL do not follow procedure, (No DQ sent to defendant, late with hearing fees etc) and every time they do not I would write to the court to make them aware. This then shows a trail of their unreasonable behaviour.
You can then follow this up with a schedule of your costs that you can request when they finally don't show up. Costs such as printing, postage, day off work for the hearing, parking, and hours spent researching as a litigant in person. (mine came to just over £200)0 -
Thanks for all your help will keep you posted0

            Hi All
I have just completed the DQ, I have been doing this for my father who is a pensioner. If this does come to a court hearing I wanted to know if I would be able to talk on behalf of him on the day in court?0
