Life insurance endowment?

A few years ago I had a policy with Norwich Union which provided life insurance but at the end of the period (15 years in this case) it payed me a lump sum if I did not die.
Can you still buy these types of policies?
I have looked everywhere but can only seem to find level term policies which have no lump some payout.

Only if you buy direct can you get these now. Endowments are considered poor value for money and no advisor will sell you one.
Level term is far better value for money. If you want to pay more for savings, use a savings plan.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
