Mortgage Ppi for RBS upheld

Options
Hi all.

Back in March I submitted a claim for PPI to be refunded from my mortgage with RBS. I was not hopeful- but thought it was worth a try. After a while with no contact apart from one 'we are investigating your claim' letter back at the start of the process, I called them to be told the claim was upheld, and a letter had been issued to me on 17th May. No letter arrived. After calling again I was asked to wait for 10 working days, so dutifully called back on 2nd June. With many apologies, they said they would issue another letter. Still nothing has arrived!
I know when I call again on Monday they will say I have to wait 10 working days to see if the letter arrives- but I am getting frustrated with this whole process! How hard can it be to send a letter? Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone got any suggestions as how to get around the issue, other than waiting periods of 10 days to see if the next letter arrives? I have already checked the address with them, and we haven't had any issue with any other post arriving. Silly really that after not expecting to win the claim I am getting so annoyed with the delay!

Oh well, perhaps they think I am going to give up chasing it. :rotfl:

That's their stock response, the system will not allow them to reissue a letter until 10 working days after the last was issued.

But they only seem to have said that once from your OP.

And it's only been 5 working days since you called.

Have you moved since you were with RBS? They may be sending to an old address

    No, well
We have moved once but I have checked which address they are writing to a few times. Good thought though! Are these things always just slow?

Some can be very slow, stop contacting them and wait.
Save yourself some stress. Patience is a virtue :D
