Letter from Abbey - credit card refused at my address for someone I don't know

in Credit cards
Hi,
This morning I got a letter addressed to someone who has never lived here from Abbey. Curiosity got the better of me and I opened it this afternoon. It stated that this lady had been refused her application for a credit card! I am very worried about this. There isnt anyone on my street with this name.
The other thing is that I think my pram has been stolen, I can't find it anywhere (think hubby lifted it out of boot to put something in and probably didnt put it back in and drove off), but I am sure I had a gas statement in the pocket of the pram with my name and address on.
Any advice pls?
Thanks
Louise

Check your credit reports for any recent applications. Enquire with Abbey, they could have made a mistake or someone has applied for a card using a false address. This may lead to Abbey posting a 'Cifas' entry on your credit report - stating that this has happened. This is there to protect you. It would be more worrying if someone applied for a credit card in your name.0
