Speeding fine admin fee
I have been caught doing 70 in 60 (goods vehicles less that 7.5 tonnes) and have received the s172 and now the fine.
The company are trying to pass on the admin fee from the leasing company to me.
I have reviewed the Company Driving and Vehicle Policy which I signed and it does not mentioned anything about speeding fines or their admin fees.
It does mention parking fines and says "Any outstanding parking fines charged to the company and any charges made by the leasing company for administration of fines will be passed on to the employee and deducted from salary.
Is it possible/legal for them to lump speeding fine admin charges from the leasing company in with this despite the section being titled 21. Parking fines
Thanks

I don't know whether it is legal or possible, but it seems entirely fair to me that your company should not be penalised when it was you who broke the law.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
Yep, you should suck it up, why rock the boat with your employer any more than necessary?0

OP you may do better posting on The Employment, Jobseeking & Training Board (or have this thread moved) as it seems to relate to your terms of employment more than a direct motoring matter.0

How much are we talking?0

Do you want to upset your employer for £12 ?0

It is £12 for the admin fee.
I think technicality you'd have grounds to dispute the fee... but as much as I like an argument, personally I'd pay it bearing a fake smile as last thing you want in a workplace is to annoy the boss since one day you may just need a favour like a last minute day off or something0 -

Does any other section of the policy mention any other penalties, or you having a duty to obey all applicable road law?0
