Transfer money while abroad

Hi folks,

Our son is going to lend us £6000 to put towards another van which is important or we will lose work.

Unfortunately he has just got on a flight to the States for two weeks before we realised we needed it asap.

He is with NatWest. Does anyone know if he will be able to use his normal mobile banking app while in USA and transfer money to us the same as if he was over here?....he has our details as he has done it before.

Or will he need a stupid card reader which he obv won't have taken on his hols!, Or is there any other way I can tell him he can do it please?

As long as the payment details are set up then he should be able to pay you no problem using a VPNnprovider to mimic been in the U.K. He should find one on App Store that is free if needed for a single transaction.

It could be someone knows that NatWest will not block international transactions so he would not need the above.

Thanks, yes he won't be transferring any money abroad....just initiating a transfer between UK accounts but while he is abroad. I will bear the VPN in mind as I use one at home.
