moved into our new house- advice pls

we have moved into our new home(not new built). just wondering what are the things should i be doing like council, gas, electricity, etc.

1. Change the locks immediately (you never know who might have a key).
2. Check who the suppliers are for the utilities. Also check who you personally want as suppliers. Change suppliers if you don't like the ones the house is with.
3. Find out when dustbin day/s is.0 -
If you haven't already done so read your gas, electricty and water meters. Its a good idea to take a photo of them if you can.0

Don't forget to crack open the bubbly too!*Assuming you're in England or Wales.0

Set up Mail redirection and start contacting companies to update your address, don't forget things like driving license and car insurance, your doctors, dentist and optician (or register with a new one if a diffent area).
Find the local pub and go for a meal or pint and get to know the locals.
Utility wise Gas, electric, and water, give final readings from your old house and initial readings for the new house.0 -
