Moving Home - Contents Insurance

Good afternoon,
I have contents insurance with Privilege on my flat. Around £10/month. I'm moving house at the end of the month and looking to cancel this.
According to Privilege there is no option to cancel unless I pay £40 to get out of the contract. Before I pay - is there anything else I can do? I'm moving in with parents for a few months and then moving into my newbuild house in October.

If you want to cancel the policy you'll need to pay the cancellation fee unfortunately. It'll be in the T&C's you signed up to.
There is the option to transfer the insurance to your parents house if they don't have any.0 -
Either update the address to the new one if there is no contents insurance at the new address, or pay the cancellation fee I'm afraid.
Note that if you have made a claim this policy cycle you may be liable for the full year's premium, too.0
