My boyfriend has a saving account with icici . With a £5000 in it. he is earning £30 interest per month. i have an ING direct account with a 5 fig sum in it and earning £40 of interest per month(think i'm being cheated as he earns the same interest as me on less money). we are comptemplating moving my money in with his in the hope of increasing the monthly interest we would get by merging our money. not sure if thats how it will work out ?? any thoughts anybody.

Forget the interest. Keep your money separate as it reduces arguments while you're together and keeps life simpler should you break up.we are comptemplating moving my money in with his in the hope of increasing the monthly interest we would get by merging our money. not sure if thats how it will work out ?? any thoughts anybody.
I've always done this - even though my partner and I go back more than 25 years
.
If you like ICICI, then move your money there - in your own account.0 -
Totally agree with baby_boomer, keep the money separate but open a similar high-rate paying account to move it into.0
