Anyone had any joy in getting help on a faulty product?
My ps4 is 6 months out of its warranty, and gone belly up.Sony and argos wont do anything at all unless i get an independent report done(i have no idea where to get this),ive spoken to MBNA who are sending out the claim forms.Im just wondering what my chances are?Im really annoyed with it all,18 months sporadic use from a £300 console is very poor methinks.
Ive been given a total run around by argos, who told me on 2 seperate calls, that i could drop it into a local store(they even have the recordings of this) but the manager wouldnt do anything.
any advice would be good.

Section 75 and chargeback are 2 separate things.
Chargebacks can be done if the goods are faulty, but as they weren't faulty on receipt this wouldn't be an option for you.
Section 75 is for breach of contract, if you can prove there has been a breach of contract then ask MBNA to go down this route, you will need an independant report if you're saying the goods are not fit for purpose.0 -
It's not just about being faulty, the key is to why it's faulty. You need an expert report for that, good luck finding that. The S75 route requires the same proof as the retailer so it's not just a money back guarantee because its stopped working.0
