Tesco credit card fraud

Today I was made aware of an online groceries transaction for almost £200 that was made with my card. When I told Tesco fraud (who contacted me) that it was not with my blessing they have stopped the card and now I can't use it. More the point, what will happen to the scumbag who has tried to use my card at the other end of the country for a groceries deliver ? The store has been informed by Tesco that it was an fraudulent purchase but I have the feeling that the culprit won't be brought to justice. Pretty dense of them to have an item delivered with stolen card details to an address really
What worries me is how they got my details and managed to change the password. I have used the card online but with reputable stores.

I've had a few cases of fraud over the years and only once did they let slip that someone had been caught with my details in their possession. I think I managed to get put to someone who normally deals with the police and for some reason they thought that was who I was. When I told them who I was then they completely changed.
I assume that they would have given someone elses address (who will be out) and then wait for the driver and then "get home" and sign for the delivery on the door step. If the fraud was discovered before the delivery was attempted then they might have called the police, but if not then it's likely they will never be caught.0 -
