    He sed the 12k was with the interest etc


    So the £12k was for the car plus interest payable for the term of the finance.

    They aren't wrong though. It would be easy to pay £6k from a high credit risk dealer and have interest payments that amount to 100% more money.

    Possibly a we give people with no money an overpriced car type of seller?

    £4000 car priced at £7000 and £12,000 total on finance? Missed payments and extra charges added pushes it towards the price of a brand new car, even though its xx years old?

    Sold at auction for very little, especially if its damaged or you did not hand over the V5C and full set of keys and books etc.

    Then take into account the recovery fees and transporting it to auction and the auction fees themselves, you probably owe more than the initial finance figure.
