Hope this helps anyone out there looking...There is an insurance company called HS insurance that specialize in coach houses..other companies do insure them but you have to speak to someone who knows what type of property you are talking about..I am currently with Lloyds (bank) because they became cheaper than HS as my house was deemed to be in a flood risk area ..as for the contribution of the garage owners...this is done on area...I have 3 garages under me,1 is mine..so you divide the BUILDING insurance part of your insurance by 6...you charge them 1/6th each and you pay 2/3rds and you pay all the contents as the contents of the other 2 garages should be covered by their insuance....Happy hunting1
