Rejected by Natwest

Evening all,
I'm a Newbie on here so please be gentle!
Back in 2000 I got a First Reserve Account with Natwest. I am 99.9% sure that this was a packaged bank account and I was informed that by signing up for that I was more likely to get a small overdraft of £400. Usual story, I never used the so-called benefits, so I recently complained.
My complaint has been rejected because they say at no time have I been sold a packaged bank account. I am sure as I can that this can't be right, and had the following queries:
1. Did anyone else have a First Reserve account at that time with the "benefits?"
2. Has anyone else been rejected in similar circumstances?
Thanks for your help.

1. Yes, they will have.
2. If they also didn't have a packaged account, yes.0 -
First Reserve is a savings account. Not a current account. However, for a period, it did allow standing orders and direct debits and had a limited VISA card. Not on purpose but just happened (something similar happened on a Lloyds savings account in the 90s too). That loophole was closed by Natwest some years ago.
So, its not a packaged bank account.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
