Hi all
I got a new account with first direct about 5 months ago to get the £150 bonus for joining, i have 2 questions
1. How long do you usually need to hold this account before you can switch to another without loosing the £150?
2. Does opening accounts to get the free bonus effect your credit score? if so how badly does it effect it?
Thank you

1. You don't! But why would you switch now and lose out on the £100 leaving present you could get next month?...unless you haven't read the T&Cs and prepared for such an opportunity?
2. Yes (with CRAs, but that doesn't matter because they don't lend money). Who knows? Does it even matter? No.0 -

Glad I read this
The leaving present had slipped my mind
my 6 months are up in couple of weeks. Means I'd have to close my regular saver as well but that's not a major issue. Time to look at another switch I think
Thanks for the reminded Yorkshire Boy
