how to compare heat supplier with energy supplier

Hi I am locked into a heat suppllier, as opposed to gas supplier, with my new housing association.
The daily standing charge is 72.44 pence per day and my heat on top of that is 5.27 pence/kwh. This seems excessive to me, especially as it is for social housing and we cannot shop around. Please can anyone suggest a way I can compare this to what I would pay with a range of gas suppliers?
Thanks in advance.
Robin
