E-On Best Deal
Question for E-On rep
Hi I have just changed to Saver Fx 1year v10 after using the E-On tool to find the best deal the result showed a change to v10 would give me a saving over my existing v7.
So I changed tariffs and got email response showing new details. But going back to check I was on the correct tariff it is now showing v10 being the best deal for me with a difference of 1pence less than I had signed up to.
Now I know. this is the MSE forum but do I now change again .
I was tempted, but then I thought the likely outcome would be to confuse E-On's system.
Ok Malc or Helen what do you think has happened. Previously when I have changed tariffs the new one always showed to be the best deal until it was beaten by a new tariff Do you really want me to change again to save a further penny?

Morning FOREVER21
I'm going to be honest and say you've confused me a little bit
So, please may I ask you a couple of things?
When you're looking at the best deal for you and they're listed down the page, you've got your current tariff at the top now Version 10, this gives you the cost per year and month.
What have you got underneath this? Where you do see the penny saving?
Is it one penny per year?
I'm sorry if I appear a bit confused, don't worry though, Malc is here and can always help me
Thank you

Hi Sorry I did not make it clear, but, you seem to understand. The cost of thee current v10 is shown and then directly below it shows as lowest v10 again but this one 1penny less. The saving is per year.
Hope this clarifies

It's no problem at all FOREVER21, I get it now
I'm thinking the very slight change is down to the quote using the average daily consumption of your specific usage from the last 12 months.
As we're now moving in to warmer months (supposedly) the daily consumption will start to get slightly less, therefore, making the yearly amount a bit less also.
This is why the change is so tiny of one penny per year, as the ADC (average daily consumption) will only reduce by a really small amount.
I suspect, that if you did the best deal for you again in maybe a few weeks, the figure may have changed again. This would only happen if the version 10 is still available to change to though.
I do hope this explains a bit and makes sense.
Thank you
