I'd suggest W7 instead of W10. If the much hated Vista was still supported I'd go back to that. I've never known an os like W10 with so many issues.
Never had any w10 issues since its public launch, although had a few in the insider program, but all fixed and ironed out before public release.
why tell someone to chose a OS that is EOL and will no be supported by Microsoft and will not get an security patches or updates0 -
I bought a 2nd hand PC for £150, a 2015 model that with a few upgrades (£150ish on top) is going great guns even with relatively new graphically intensive games.
£600 is very much overkill for what you are looking for!0 -
I'm running an ex-corporate Dell machine as a media PC connected to my TV which would do what you want easily. It came with Windows 10, I updated it Windows 10 and have a spare 17" Monitor. Probably has a few more years use left in it.
It'll be going on on my local Facebook page shortly and I doubt I'll get more than £50 for it.
No need to spend £600 IMHO0 -

I'm trying to help. It's your machine that goes for £50. They've just put in a bigger HDD and added a twelve month warranty. Swapping out the HDD and extending the warranty shouldn't add £100. At least £50 too much. Don't do it.
