Which of these 50 old TV shows should be brought back?

It’s general election week, so we’ve decided to avoid controversy and have a bit of fun (we all need it). With the return of Baywatch as a film (and recent revivals of Porridge, Open All Hours, Danger Mouse and more), we wanted to know which other old-school TV shows you’d like to see brought back.

All shows were originally made over a decade ago – a panel at MSE Towers has fought, scratched and bitten to pick 50, so sorry if your favourite is missing.

Which of these TV shows do you most want to be remade? PICK UP TO 5...

Did you vote? Are you surprised at the results so far? Have your say below. To see the results from last time, click here.

Thanks! :)

Pity we could only vote for 5 :T

I would add anything by Gerry Anderson and Irwin Allen, those were the days

I have a 30 day trial of Amazon Prime and guess what they're showing? Champion the Wonder Horse:rotfl: (everyone over a certain age sings the theme tune)

I would have liked a 'none of them' option as well.

How could you remake Steptoe and Son for example? you couldn't set it in the past and the nearest thing to them now is a pawn shop.
SwapShop would never work as most things for kids have a limited lifespan now, they are just made to break.
Blackadder and The Young Ones just couldn't be made now in this PC crazy world.

Much as I love many of the programs on the list, I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of them. I don't want to see them remade, I want to see the originals shown again.

Although if pushed, my vote would have been for Chorlton and the Wheelies - but it would have to be done in stop motion by Aardman to do it justice visually and scriptwise.

I would have liked to have seen 'Skippy' , 'The Waltons'.

I only voted for mainly game shows, as I do not think some of the programmes eg Only Fools and Horses, Steptoe and Son, would be the same if they returned as it was the actors that made the show and most of them are no longer alive.

I remember Folly foot, white horses and the one that gave everyone nightmares 'The children of the stones.'
Nothing to see here, move along.

No option for MacGyver? For shame, MSE.

Wait, they've done a 2016 reboot in the US that we may eventually get to see on CBS Action here...

The serialisation of good books for children. Used to be on a Sunday and I remember being introduced to some great books through it.

The Silver Sword sticks in my mind. They also did classics like Treasure Island and Kidnapped.

When my two were young, there was a serialisation on Wednesday, with modern literature, as well as E E Nesbit'. the Phoenix and the Carpet.
