Pre-paid cards for buying USD transactions from overseas

Hi Guys,

Do any of you know if you're using a pre-loaded USD Mastercard whether it can be used like a traditional Credit card? Can you use it for Mail order? Buying from US websites and I get charged £1.04 flat rate conversion fee on my credit cards!

Are there any credit cards that don't charge for USD conversion?

Solutions for non-sterling online purchases are the same as for foreign travel:

There's a link to the advice on prepaid cards, which can be used, but avoid 'preloaded USD' cards because rates are not ideal and you get stuck with unused dollars. The simplest solution is Monzo, use the link to avoid waiting list. Aqua Reward gives 0.5% cashback, including on foreign purchases.
