yep, red flashing usually means there is a missed call or a message etc. Basically it's an alert to say something has happened.

Did anybody get the sms facilty to work okay? We have received some text messages lately but they come through as answerphone messages via BT.

never tried it but i think you need to have called display active before it will work.

I have caller display too but it still goes to answer machine

Have a little read of this LINK to check you're registered to receive messages as text.

Also note that if you have more than one SMS-enabled phone connected to your line then you won't receive texts, as the two phones will both try to receive it and the system doesn't like it! Sorry for not providing a more technical explanation Drove me nuts wondering why my SMS-enabled phones always gave me voice messages instead of text until I found out you can only have SMS phone...
