Philips CD5352S Digital Telephone/Answer Machine-Twin Pack, For £39.97......Or is it?

Link

Picked mine up today, but thankfully got given the substitute product, the Philips SE635 Duo, which has a higher spec and includes a sim carder reader, 30min record time as apposed to 15min, 250 name and number memory as apposed to 50, and 2 games not one. A higher spec, and nicer slight change in design of the cradle too.
A bargain for only £39.97

Just found the model which i got, on Amazon, which they sell for £106.70. So for £39.97, think this deal just got better.

    No problem,
I posted this on another site, and it seems everyone, who is buying them, are getting the SE635 :)
Been playing with mine today - the sim card reader worked perfectly, it's even got Tetris on it.
The only niggle i can find is the choice of poly ringtones, but for a home phone can't grumble really. I found the sound quality much better that my old idect x1i, plus this has all the extra features - There's no way you can get more for your money imho.

I noticed this offer on the hot deals forum too.

Got mine today, and yes they are the higher spec'd model than advertised. In fact, the lady on the till made a point of telling me that they may not be the ones I ordered.

Very comfortable to hold and use, the menus are logical and all the necessary items can be accessed quickly.

No problems with the poly tones, but if I had to have a niggle, it would be that the colour screen is the old generation 'washed out look' type. But its not really that important.

But for use, specification and value, this offer will take some beating
  • Has anyone had the upgrade of models with the triple handset of this, also available at Argos?

  • could someone who has the higher spec'ed model please confirm whether or not the handset has a little 2.5mm (or 3.5mm) jack socket to plug an external headset into?

I don't think it will have but no harm in asking!
