Hi
I'm a single mum earning just below £14,000 a year. I currently work around 21 hours a week and my daughter will soon be starting school so I will need to change my hours. I'm unsure whether to work 27 hours a week or whether it would be better financially for me to work either 24 hours, 26 hours or 31 hours.
I do get some benefits but am on the cusp for some and currently have more money outgoing than incoming and have over £7000 owing on credit cards as I'm having to pay for things like food on them.
I don't want to work 5 more hours and pay £6 a night for after school club to end up worse off. Wondered if anyone could give me any advice
Thanks in advance x

You can use a benefit calculator such as entitledto or turn2us to work out the various scenarios.0
