Facebook messages auto-delete when entered on android tablet

I asked this before without a result but problem persists so maybe​ someone else will see it who can help. I have a hudl2 tablet with kit kat (latest) OS. About 6 weeks ago it started auto deleting my facebook posts as i entered them. It does the same with all my messenger posts on fb too, although i can comment on other people's fb posts. This is only a problem on my android tablet, not on my pcs.? I assume​ it is some setting but i pressed inadvertantly.

I can find no way to fix it, not even restoring it to factory mode. Nor can i find anyone else on the web has this problem . Anyone got any brainwaves? :eek:

Not sure of any setting that auto-deletes posts ?!!


But have you made sure your facebook app is up to date ?
Older versions sometimes exhibit strange behaviour

as the Hudl2 is no longer made or available then the KitKat OS will the the latest for that device but is not the latest Android OS.

yes make sure you can update to the latest Facebook as the issue with discontinued devices and OS versions a lot of apps are no longer compatible, which will always cause issues.

This is happening to me too, I'm using a lenovo yoga tablet. I had to type my message on a gmail email draft and copy and paste it to messenger, what a pain!

What actually seems to happen is that when I press the space bar it deletes everything that precedes it. So i tried entering text without spaces but then it deleted the whole line when i pressed enter. (There is a way to update to latest android OS after Kit Kat but users are reporting issues do i have not gone there yet. One problem at a time)

So weird, the problem has stopped happening just now, no idea how as I haven't updated anything, very strange!

in my case, I just reset keyboard to factory settings. It then worked once before the auto delete started again.
