PPI not sure about.

My wife and me keep on getting phone calls and letters about ppi and if you are entitled to claim for it.
My wife says we should ask about it as she is quite positive that we had ppi on our morgage and bank loans .
I just don't want to ask about it all and giving details to find out we aren't.
Also these company's who look into it for you take so much if you are entitled to a claim.
So is there anyway we can find out if we are entitled to claim ppi by looking into it ourselves .

You are entitled to complain (not "claim") about any insurance you may have had if you can show reasons for doing so.

You find out if you had PPI by looking at documentation from your own archive or by simply asking your lenders.

Cold-calling claim firms do nothing you cannot do yourself alone and for free.

So does everyone else who has never had PPI too. Spam/Scam marketing is commonplace now.

Most mortgage PPI complaints fail. However, most MPPI is very easy to see as it is mostly monthly direct debit standalone from the mortgage. Only a minority was built into the mortgage payment (and even then it appeared on the mortgage statements).

You are entitled to complain about whatever you like. In respect of PPI, you would contact the company that sold it (which is not always the lender - i.e. if you used a broker or car dealer etc).
