The problem you've got is you've agreed to the dates and this will be recorded. Can you not change the annual leave with work and go on it as unfortunately it sounds like it's either go or lose the lot as flights will be non refundable, accomodation too so the part refund is probably the £8 each refund from the airlines for the tax.

In future you might as well search through skyscanner for flights and then somethung similar for hotels as it's pretty much what they do with a cost

So are they breaking their terms and conditions or not? I am confused.

Strongly advise against booking holidays over the phone, get them in store or online where you can actually see the dates and double check.

Whilst they may have been cheaper, as you can see when things go wrong its very difficult to get a prompt reply.
