I have had an urgent request from a family member to send them a digital version of a box of 35mm slides, that they want to use to make a tribute to a family member. I have a Perfection 3170 scanner which in theory can do the job of getting them into digital format, but I lost the user guide on how to to this, ages ago. (I do have all the necessary attachments and the scanner works.) Anyone done this?
On the other had there are services which claim to do it for you if you give them your slides. Anyone used one of these and can recommend it?

My RX620 printer does slides, but it only came with 2 different cages 110 and 35mm i think. Needed to do some other sizes.
I bought something similar to this... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LU0XO3O/ref=s9_acsd_top_hd_bw_bT8iOd_c_x_3_w?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=W6QD353EZV2BYF2N6BSB&pf_rd_r=W6QD353EZV2BYF2N6BSB&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=cccd25e6-ba70-4206-9863-522e56917f65&pf_rd_p=cccd25e6-ba70-4206-9863-522e56917f65&pf_rd_i=430591031Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
CD/DVD?
Unsure how many you have, but for speed, would probably use Mega - 50G for free. 2nd choice would be usb.
The printer 4 page ad (not user manual) https://www.manualagent.com/epson/perfection-3170-photo/users-manual
This seems to be a manual http://www.nodevice.com/user_manual/epson/Scanner/perfection_3170_photo.html0
