thornit powder on rabbits

so i keep hearing about thornit powder and how amazing it is and how it works miracles, miracles which i have yet to see. my rabbit has ear mites i've been using thornit powder for her ears for about a week now yet i see no changes if anything the (dry) brown wax is kind of building up, can any of you PLEASE tell me how to use and for how long/ when i can see the results the only result i've seen is that she stopped itching her ears which is good i guess also before you tell me take her to the vet i did he was the one who gave me the powder except he didn't tell me how to use it because of the pressure he had that day, please i love my rabbit and i hate seeing her suffer ):

    You put a small pinch of powder in the outer ear and massage it .

    Do not put it into the ear canal where it will clog up.

    You do need to gently clean off the brown wax , again without going into the ear.

    Lot's of people recommend it for all kinds of mammal, but a vet who ran a breed website I used said she had lots of problems to deal with because it caused irritation.
