    Yes, it's not ideal. Just what we started doing when we first moved in together.

    We split rent equally (which includes bills) and have roughly the same outgoings in terms of phone and gym. OH pays £50 more for food than me because he eats loads. We then have the same pocket money, and everything else gets saved.

    The savings money is for a joint goal (deposit/travelling) and I earn about half as much again as OH.
