My dogs allergic to storage mites and I don't want to only feed her wet food forever.
If I put the bag(unopened) in a freezer and then once opened only decanter the small amounts that day out for her (keeping it air tight) will this assist the Problem of storage mites ?

FROM Google search freezing stops the reproduction but dead bodies and droppings is still present and may still affect the dog.
Storing in airtight containers does the same as freezing.
Any containers and surfaces used must be thoroughly cleaned after each use to remove any traces of mites.
Buying smaller bags and direct from the manufacturer is recommended as the food should be fresher rather than stored in a warehouse or shop for while.
You could try using a grain free food as mites arise from grain but if the food is manufactured in a factory that also makes a food containing grain the mites can transfer from one to another.
Any frozen food must be thoroughly defrosted before feeding.0 -
Have you tried the smaller bags or airtight storage bins? That seems like it might be a more practical solution rather than resorting to freezing?0
