How Long Should It Take To Refund Over Payments

Hi ,

I have asked my Energy Supplier to refund my Energy Direct Debit over Payments (currently £400. and growing every month), and also halve my monthly payments.

On average how long does this take to achieve?

Short answer to both questions, is that it depends on who your supplier is

Long answer is that the credit value shown on your online account, isn't a true credit until it's one showing immediately after a bill based on actual meter readings has been issued, and also that you have been a customer of that supplier for a year so they have accurate data of your annual consumption.

If your account fits the above and your request hasn't been satisfied for say 21 days - WRITE a letter headed Complaint

Well who else,but Iresa contacted them over a month a go was told it would be passed to Billing to do.Still waiting !
